“You will be stronger than before, more capable and confident in whom you are. You will realize that who you are has nothing to do with the actions of another, and that acceptance is the only way to find peace.”—Mari Kiyota
“Somewhere I heard that life is a test. I been though the worst but still I give my best. God made my mold different from the rest.. then he broke that mold so I know I’m blessed (this is my world).”—The Man, Aloe Blacc
“Great people don’t impress others by exaggerating their success. They don’t prove others how great they are. They polish their skills to give consistent performance. They adapt to change and their learning doesn’t end. They have short and long term goals. They evaluate their results to know where they stand today and periodically draft their game plan to achieve their goals. This sets an example for others to learn what makes one successful.”—Tejas Patel (via psych-facts)
It’s been a whirlwind last week at this internship. That event had so many hitches but by the end of it, I was super amazed with all my hard work. I received more compliments than I did complaints. Not bad for my first run! I met a lot of sweet people who I know I’ll be working with in the future, even if it means it’ll be with another PR company.
I haven’t officially started my new position yet but it’s been approved. I got a call from them yesterday to confirm my email address and when I was coming in so that my workstation would be ready when I start. Zomg, I literally cannot wait. Only 10 more days to go (must be my lucky number haha).
I’ve learnt a lot interning here but my calling is beckoning. I have the rest of my free time to relax, celebrate Raya and basically recalibrate myself to prepare for a new milestone. I’m gonna miss a couple of people here though. They’re amazing people but I have a feeling we’re gonna be super good friends. I mean, I found out I’m practically related to one of them (by marriage).
Lots of positive things happening this year. The things that happen when you stay positive.
Woah, I haven’t posted anything in 10 days! Seems to be a recurring pattern. Although this time around, it’s more to do with the fact I’m fasting and spending most of my days interning with this PR agency. I’ve been there 2.5 weeks and I’m already meeting new people, learning and gaining successes. I have my first organised event this coming Monday. I’m excited, slightly overwhelmed but definitely driven to make this event amazing.
In other news, I’m getting that job I wanted. I just have to go through a medical test but otherwise, I know it’s mine. I really can’t wait. If my current situation is any indication, with a little assistance, I’ll be hitting the ground running and not looking back.
I’d write more but my energy levels are dropping. I’m persevering like the soldier I am but I’m still human. Hope to update soon enough though (maybe in another 10 days haha).
