Last year, a guy who I met through his best friend, who lived in another city to me, who I thought could be more than friends at the time but now am good friends with, sent me an adorable text and asked me to be his Valentine.
It was the most memorable Valentine ever. In a good way. Last year was just the highlight of my improvement in the way I see life. In terms of the romance department, I didn’t date nor kiss a boy or be in a relationship with someone; but I met someone, someone whose smile still gets to me, who looks as handsome as ever, who I hope notices me in the same light that I do.
I don’t expect him to ask me and frankly, I don’t have the guts to ask him but that’s ok. I’m not one to think of Valentine’s Day as couples romancing about, Single’s Awareness Day or ‘Forever Alone Day’ as a friend of mine puts it. Sure it happens but like another friend said “the person you love should be treated like its Valentine’s Day everyday” and just cause I’m single doesn’t mean I’m not loved. This Valentine’s Day I’ll be celebrating it with my cousin for some last minute bonding time before I head off back to Sydney and hopefully I get to see some of her beloved cats (I’m a cat lover - like he is :3) and take some pictures to remember them by.
My parents are still on their trip but they’ll be back the day after so my last week here in KL will be comfortably spent before its time to get back to another reality - have things back to a routine. At least mum will be coming down with us for a week.
Oh! And I haven’t spoken anything about my trip to Hong Kong, have I? I’ll get some pics and stories up on here but it’ll probably have to wait until I get back to Sydney. Gotta enjoy what’s left of my holiday, right? Until next time~
P.S: Happy Valentine’s Day!
