LA Noire, Rockstar Games

Day 30: Last game you bought

Haha, yeah its been a while but I mostly wait till I go back home to buy games cause the CDs here don’t work on my console :( Ah well, only 5 more months to go~ and this concludes my 30 day video game challenge. Yaaay!

Day 29: Most obscure game you’ve ever played

Ok as obscure as the title goes, I have no idea what this game is called. All I remember from it is that it was a treasure hunter type game that came out ages ago for the Xbox (yah, that old!). It had something to do with murder and this couple trying to piece together the clues to find out what this person found to be brutally killed and then there’s people after them determined to stop them.

The thing I hated about it was that there were well hidden clues or items that you needed in order to progress the storyline. Maybe they were a little too well hidden because you never knew what exactly you had to look for and then if you didn’t find it, you’d just be stuck there.

Haha, could prolly have been easily solved through a walkthrough but I don’t think I was internet literate back then. Ah well, I can’t remember the game but maybe when I go back home, I’ll look through my old games and it might just recall my memory..that is if I remember to do that to begin with haha.

Dynasty Warriors 6, Koei

Day 28: The worst sequel to a game

This one was hard! I thought about many games and thinking whether their sequels were horrible. I mean I’ve played some bad ones but I couldn’t decide which one was the worst. This one game pretty close. I think I stopped playing after seeing the opening level haha.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Bethesda Game Studios

Day 27: An upcoming game you’re looking forward to

I love RPG games so obviously I’m waiting patiently on this one so that I can play it :3 I’ll be looking forward to Halo 4 and AC: Revelations too but I’ve already abused trailers from those two games already :P

Day 26: Your favourite games development company

Well this would have been easy. Bungie. Except they don’t make the Halo franchise anymore ;___;

But still, they were forever present throughout my childhood and I will still relive those memories thinking of Halo and the Bungie people that made them.

XBox 360, Microsoft

Day 25: Your favourite console

I absolutely love the XBox. Playstation 2 might have been my first console ever but I’ve pretty much grown up with the XBox. I love the controllers, I love the platform feel, I love the characters and some of the games that you can only get off XBox. I like playing games just for Playstation 3 too but I usually bum off a friend if I really wanna play something. XBox 360 is my choice and it’s the only console that I have in Australia so I love it <3

Day 24: Your favourite gaming genre

Haha, so this will be the first text post I’ve put up for the 30 day video game challenge because you can’t possibly narrow it down to one video. My favourite gaming genre would have to be: RPG.

Why? Maybe its cause I have too big of an imagination and I absolutely love storylines and character development. Battle systems often are based on equipment and abilities which can be customised to suit either the character or your personal tastes.

I like how these games aren’t too short and it means I can develop it the way I want. I dunno, I like playing other games too but this genre seems to be the one I go back to the most. That said, doesn’t mean that every RPG game I’ve played come from the same theme. From fantasy, real life based or historical based, there’s always something people can play and if you don’t like a particular element of a game? Find another cause there’s so many to choose from.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Ubisoft

Day 23: Game with the best graphics or art style

How can Assassin’s Creed not make the top or at least one of the top games with amazing graphics and art style? This game is just a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Even from the first game, I fell in love with the theme of the entire game from the amazing architecture and scenery to how the weapons and clothing styles. Love!

Kiss Me Goodbye, Angela Aki (Final Fantasy XII)

Day 22: Your favourite song from a video game

There are sooo many choices for this, from instrumentals to techno songs with only few words to rock songs but I like this one the best. I absolutely adore this song cause I think it speaks volumes over a long of things that can be related to. Plus, its such a beautifully composed song and Angela Aki sings amazing in this. Love <3

Final Fantasy XII Opening, Square Enix

Day 21: Your favourite cinematic from a video game

I didn’t exactly like this game. The battle system through me off and just the general feel of it wasn’t really what I liked about FF games or video games in general. That said, I really loved the opening CGI for this game. I loved how it combined many elements of a typical FF game, story wise and it showed a different side of the main female character from having the best day of your life to one where dreams are cut short. It was something worth relating to.

Noctis Lucis Caelum, Final Fantasy XIII Versus

Day 20: Hottest video game character

I fell in love with this guy the moment I saw the trailer. Haha, guess I’m a sucker for the brooding male character who just seems to have a lot on his plate. Final Fantasy has not made a really hot male character in a long time so this was a breath of fresh air to me. I love that kind of hairstyle on FF male characters and his weaponry is too cool. Squeal!

Emile, Halo: Reach

Day 19: Your favourite side character from a video game

Ok, so Emile didn’t really get a lot of screen time in the game but dayum, he was still my favourite. His quips were just badass and mean, and he just has a very sexy voice.

Sephiroth, Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core

Day 18: Most evil villain from a video game

How can it not be Sephiroth? There are many types of villains that seem to be more grotesque or cruel but somehow they just seem to be scary and intimidating in a real world sense. If looks could kill, you’d be dead in a nanosecond just by looking at the guy. And I like how you can still find humane sides to him from the entire story. It’s something I think people can understand.

Alistair Romance, Dragon Age

Day 17: Funniest moment in a video game

This was sooo hard! I’ve played many games but I couldn’t figure out whether I’ve laughed at any hilarious scene. Although after deliberating, I came to decide on this one. There are not many male characters who would confess to being a virgin..somehow all the guys either ooze sex appeal like they’ve got it or you just don’t give them a second glance cause they’re cute or you see them as a little kid. I just liked how this hot male character actually hasn’t done it, and he’s so cute in teasing about it that its funny.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Square Enix

Day 16: Your favourite scene or moment from a video game

It only took me a few seconds to think of which scene I loved the most. Master Chief may have been my world but just as Halo has been played with love throughout my life, Final Fantasy has equally had an impact of me and my favourite character in the FF series ever is Zack. He’s just badass and funny and good-looking. I liked Crisis Core cause it brought light to one of my loved characters and the ending was just nawwww. I loved it a lot.
